Sarah Everard and callous Cops

On the night of 3rd March 2021, 33 year old Sarah Everard went missing while walking home from a friends house near Clapham Common. A week later her mutilated remains were horrifyingly discovered in a bag in Kent. As of time of writing, her alleged killer, Wayne Couzens, is currently being held in Belmarsh Prison under suspicion of kidnapping and murder.

Couzens wasn’t some random bloke off the street, nor was he even someone she knew. He was a member of our “oh-so-reputable” police service,in fact, he was a firearms officer tasked with protecting our equally “oh-so-reputable” politicians.

However, were you aware he was also more than that? Police records reveal, well they reveal that he liked revealing quite a lot… Couzens was a flasher. Yes. Flasher. The man flashed his pretty little pecker at a group of women in a McDonalds only three days prior to the disappearance of Sarah Everard. Now, if there’s one thing I think of when I think of flashers it’s how famously trustworthy they are. Amazingly, he kept his job as a firearms officer despite committing a crime worthy of being on the sex offenders register. Now, if there’s one thing I think of when I think of flashers it’s how famously trustworthy they are. That’s like asking Jon Venables to mind your kids while you nip to the shops.

Although, dear reader, you have nothing to fear! Everybody’s favourite home secretary Priti Patel is here to save the day! She’s having undercover coppers in pubs and more street lamps! Yes, women, you can rest easy knowing your rapists will now be proficient in their use of a taser and Rohypnol ,and can see your face well enough to see if you’re worth it or not! Alternatively Baroness Jenny Jones has suggested a genius 6pm curfew for men. That’s got the rapists shaking in their boots.

“Gaw look at that girl! I fancy a go on that. Have I got everything I need? Duct Tape- check. Chloroform — check. Watch -che- Ah shite it’s 6:01. Better luck next time!”

In truth, massive changes that are expected instantly are going to do more harm than good. But the small changes like educating our new generations of boys out of such a sexualised and girl-chasing mindset. Teach them that no means no in regards to all things in life not just consent, we must push the idea of respecting consent in everything. Small and frequent changes is how we will get to the end goal. Every pearl begins with a grain of sand. We’re living in a time where such monumental change is expected in such a minute space of time. We have been living in such an oppressive and brutal patriarchy for as long as there has been civilisation. The men took power by force in the beginnings of civilization and after centuries of control they aren’t going down without a fight. It is going to be a long and arduous mission but eventually the patriarchy will die. But with death, comes life. And the life that will come will be a new social structure. But not a patriarchy or matriarchy. An Isotriarchy.
